Which lamp suits you?

Answer 3 quick questions – we'll recommend the right combination of lamp and module for you.

1

How long are your dives?

2

Where do you dive?

3

Should the lamp also serve as a photo/video light?

TillyTec® Lamp Guide

A TillyTec® dive light consists of the housing, the battery, and the LED module.

All components are interchangeable, repairable, and customizable.

We currently offer the following models:

Maxi uni (large light)
Mini uni (small light)

For the LED module:

LUMEN - LUX - BEAM ANGLE

Example:
MaxiUni 4200 - 70000 - 10
4200 Lumen maximum LED chip output
70,000 LUX maximum measured light output at 1m distance
10 degree beam angle from the light in the direction of illumination

This LED module can be replaced by a layperson even after purchase. A corresponding conversion module and instructions can be found in the shop.

OPTICS

For some modules (currently -5 and -10/120), we also offer an OrangePeel REFLECTOR in addition to the standard TIR optic.

What's the difference? A TIR optic bundles the light beam as tightly as possible and has a very small corona (light around the main beam). This is good for dive sites with a lot of sediment and suspended particles in the water, as these would cause a lot of glare with a corona. For clear waters, an OrangePeel optic, a REFLECTOR, is also very suitable. This also has a bundled light beam, but around it a wide corona, which provides good orientation, especially for cave and wreck dives.

For the housing:

The MiniUni only has one housing and battery tube, but even here, you can install different modules.

For the MaxiUni, you can use the standard battery tube with one battery, alternatively, there is also the PRO battery tube, which fits three batteries (21700), thereby approximately tripling the burn time. For this, a special removable holder is installed in the battery tube.

You can exchange the battery tube independently of your lamp head or the installed module as you wish.

Standard Battery Tube

PRO Battery Tube triple burn time

For the battery:

Batteries are a diverse and carefully considered topic, which is why you will find detailed information on their use on our "Battery Information Page".

Batteries generally have information on the material used, the voltage, and the capacity.

Shown in the example is the new TillyTec® USB C battery with a built-in charger.
Here, you only need a standard USB-C plug.

Battery:
Material consists of Lithium, Cobalt & Manganese
Voltage
when fully charged is 3.6v
Capacity a maximum of 5,000 mAh

You'll find this battery as standard at TillyTec®, as it fits both the MaxiUni and the MiniUni.

Conclusion

We hope this little guide has helped you better understand your TillyTec® dive light.
