Notes on the use of rechargeable batteries
• LiCoMn (Lithium Cobalt Manganese) or LiCoNi (Lithium Cobalt Nickel) batteries
have no self-discharge.
• Charged batteries must be recharged after 12 months of storage.
• For recharging after a storage period, the charger can be connected to the battery
without prior discharge. The charger calculates the
remaining capacity and charges the battery.
• The battery should be charged after every use, regardless of the
burn time.
• To increase the lifespan of the battery, it is recommended to discharge approximately 30-80% of the
capacity.
• Discharging the battery completely (100% discharged) shortens the lifespan
of the batteries.
• The lifespan of the batteries depends on how much time passes between
use and recharging.
• The lifespan of the batteries depends on how deeply the battery is discharged during each
use (e.g., if the battery is only discharged by 30% – the lifespan
is many times higher than if the battery is discharged by 80%!).
• The lifespan of the batteries depends on how often the battery is used.
• Overall, the lifespan of the batteries depends heavily on the user.
• The lifespan of the batteries ranges from 7 days to 7 years.
• If the battery is used almost daily, 500 to 1000 charging cycles are possible.
• If the battery is used only a few times a year, its end of life
can be reached after very few charging cycles.
• To guarantee safety in the TillyTec dive light, we recommend
using only LiCoMn or LiCoNi batteries. The use of
other Li-Ion batteries with a different chemistry is at your own risk.
Li-Ion batteries can explode.
